Working on the foundation

Now that the dirt has been cleared from under the building the
workers have formed, rebarred and poured the footings for the
basement walls. The forms for the actual walls have arrived so I
guess they will be next week's project. I was down under the church
building last week and it was a strange experience. I looked up
through the lobby “floor” into both the church building and the main
room, of course all I could see were wall studs and ceiling rafters.
And there high on the basement wall for the main room was the small
doorway from what used to be my workspace. It used to lead into a
crawl space with lots of insulated ductwork under the lobby. It took
agility and real need to get through that space and now I was
standing in a full cellar.
