Much has happened since I last wrote. The new basement walls have been pour and cured and the cement blocks are going up between the steel beams. We are waiting for the permanent steel to arrive and be put in place so the church building can be dropped onto it’s new foundation.
Inside the 20 year old addition the supports in the cellar have been reinforce (sandwiched between more steel) to carry the weight of the mezzanine and new roof. With those supports in place the roof has been ripped off to add the new shed dormers, windows and a whole new roofing system. The shaft for the elevator has been built and it looks impressively tall standing there with nothing around it.
